Residential Construction
Building a home is about more than constructing a structure. It’s about bringing together the site, design, materials, and craftsmanship during the design and construction process to create thoughtfully integrated place a family can call home. From custom homes and new residential construction to renovations and additions, we manage the details from planning through completion, with an emphasis on quality, efficiency, and lasting value. Our experience across design, site development, and construction allows us to approach each project with a broader perspective and a clear understanding of how every part of each residence comes together.
Site Planning
Good design starts with understanding what a site can support. AKH develops sites that balance the goals of the project with the physical and regulatory realities of the site. Building placement, access, circulation, grading, drainage, utilities, and development requirements are carefully considered to create an efficient and functional framework for the project. Our goal is to make the land work for your vision while establishing a clear path through construction.
Landscape Architecture
Design + Build
Every great project begins with a thoughtful understanding of the entire site and its surroundings. We approach each one as a complete design challenge, considering the site itself, the existing regional vernacular, circulation, the proposed architecture, amenities, and the adjacent outdoor environment. As both landscape architects and builders, we carry that vision from initial concept through final construction, so the finished landscape feels like a natural extension of the home and the place it belongs to.
